Nollywood actor and Model Gbenro Ajibade got married to his wife, Osas Ighodaro who is also an actress, on the 4th of July 2015. 

The couple who met on the set of popular TV series, ‘tinsel’ is happily married with a cute little princess that was welcomed few months ago.

Gbenro was recently under fire, when report went viral that he married Osas for green card not love which made his wife openly debunk the tale.

Unlike what many thought that there is no love for Osas in the heart of Gbenro who is considered a play boy, he has proven many wrong.

APC Tongue Lashes PDP for Telling Buhari to Resign

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the call of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for President Muhammadu Buhari to tender his resignation as silly. 

The party charged the PDP to apologise to Nigerians for putting the economy of the nation into what it described as “voodoo economics and reckless fiscal policies”.

This can be found in statement signed by the party’s national secretary, Mai Mala Buni and issued to journalists on Thursday in Abuja.

The statement reads: “The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is drawn to the latest ridiculous demand by a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari return the country to the the voodoo economics and reckless fiscal policies the country was subjected to during the immediate-past PDP administration.

Nigeria Rises to 64th in Latest FIFA Ranking

The recent FIFA ranking that was released on Thursday has moved Nigeria three steps ahead to 64th, while 2018 World Cup rivals Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia slipped in the ratings. 

Nigeria is now in the 14th position in Africa. It was able to improve in his position because of the recent victory of the Super Eagles over the Tanzanian’s which ended in 1-0.

The country is now ranked 14th in Africa.

Cameroon stepped down in five places to 59th in the world. Zambia, who hosts Nigeria next month in final round of the qualifying series for the World Cup, is now 92nd in the world.

Man Apprehended for Killing Woman, Son

A 30-year- old man, Haruna Barde,has been arrested by the police in Jigawa  state  for allegedly killing a 70-year -old woman and her son in Jahun local government

area of the state. 

The accused committed the act on September 13 at about 10.30 p.m. in Nahuce village of Harbo town .

The Police Public Relations Officer (PRRO), Alhaji Jinjiri Abdu who confirmed the report said, the victims were 70-year-old Zainab Abubakar and her 50-year-old son, Hassan Abubakar.

“The 30-year-old Barde also attacked the woman’s son, Hassan Abubakar, who tried to save her.

“Upon reception of the report, our men immediately arrived at the scene, rescued and took the victims to hospital and arrested the suspect.

“However, the woman and her son both died minutes later due to injuries they sustained.” he said

Mishap: Christ Embassy Pastor Commits Suicide After Mistakenly Sending Unclad To Church Chatting Grou

A Christ Embassy Pastor, Pastor Letsego based in South Africa has recently committed suicide after he mistakenly sent his eggplant to the church WhatsApp group.

It was said that he had thought he was sending the photo to his lover who was also a member of the church.

As if it wasn’t worse enough, the photo had a text which stated, ‘wife not at home, all yours tonight.’ Which caused outraged from church members.

He apparently couldn’t bear the shame and disgrace he had brought upon himself as calls and text messages kept on coming in.

Nigerian Navy arrest leader of notorious Niger Delta militant group, four others

The Nigerian Navy on Wednesday, September 14th, said that it has arrested 5 Niger Delta criminals including the leader of a notorious militant group, one Uduak Etim Thomson of the Bakasi Strike Force.

In a statement signed by its spokesman, Commodore Christian Ezekobe, the militants perpetuated series of crimes, including attack on market women and other traders, siphoning of crude oil and destruction of pipelines.

"As part of efforts to eliminate unwholesome activities perpetuated by criminals in the Niger Delta, the Nigerian Navy has arrested one of the top leaders of a group which goes by the name Bakassi Strike Force (BSF)
