I Love Ladies but I Don’t Like Scandals…Solid Star

While many Nigerian celebrities enjoy trending with various scandals being linked to them, there are some who will be so sad to see their name being dragged in the mud and one of such is singer, Solid Star. 

The singer in a recent interview opened up that despite the fact that he gets his inspiration from women because he is very close with them, he has been able to set a boundary which they cannot cross.

He stated that he is not one who enjoys scandals and as such, is very careful with the way he relates with ladies but tries to treat them well when they come close to him.

Patience Jonathan denies link with companies that pleaded guilty to money laundering charges

Former first lady, Patience Jonathan, has denied allegations that her accounts were used to launder huge sums of money. According to The Nation, Mrs Jonathan made the denial in a statement by her media aide, Yemi Akinbode, shortly after four companies which are being investigated for fraud and which she had earlier claimed ownership of their accounts, pleaded guilty to money laundering charges at a Federal High Court in Lagos yesterday September 15th. The statement in part reads;

“That Mrs. Patience Ibifaka Jonathan is laying claim to ownership of a whopping sum of $31.7 million dollars fund recovered by EFCC is a complete fallacy. Mrs. Jonathan does not own and has never owned such amount of money. The reason for this lie is best known to the EFCC. That another sum of $20 million dollars has been traced to Mrs. Patience Ibifaka Jonathan, is again, another falsehood aimed at hoodwinking the public against Mrs. Jonathan.

In a message addressed to President Buhari, former minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode reacted to the 'Forget about Biafra' statement the President made while speaking with some NYSC members who paid him a visit at his home in Daura, Katsina state during the Sallah holidays. FFK wrote:

"You bathed in the blood of Biafrans, you crushed their bones and stripped away their dignity and self-respect just to keep Nigeria one.

Now you say their children have no right to ask for self-determination simply because you killed their fathers and mothers during the war and shattered their dreams.

Shame on you. If Nigeria was a normal country by now you would have been at the ICC answering charges of genocide and crimes against humanity at the Hague instead of being President.

Father, mother, two kids found dead at their new home just a day to their housewarming in Oyo

A man, his junior wife, two children and a visiting uncle, were found dead at their home at Isale-Oyo community in Atiba Local Government of Oyo State on Wednesday September 14th.‎

According to residents of the community, the junior wife had just completed the house which she bought when it was under construction. They moved into the building on Tuesday September 14th in preparation for the house warming which was slated for Wednesday when they died.

Neighbours and relations besieged the residence of the deceased family as early as 7a.m. in the morning to felicitate with them on the event but were surprised that despite repeated knocks on the door, nobody came out to attend to them.

All efforts to gain entry into the house was unsuccessful, as both the door and windows were locked.

A neighbor who spoke on condition of anonymity told The Nation that the incident happened like a movie

“They could not belief what they saw. It was indeed agonising and pathetic. The family of five were found dead. This is unbelievable. It is like watching a movie. The deceased father yesterday (Tuesday) played with the children around and greeted their parents in their respective homes for the Eid-El-Kabir celebration. How come he and his family members were found dead at the same time?”.
